Jose Vasquez and Cesar Gonzalez are currently in custody.

Cesar Martinez and Juan Monsivais were arrested in Shelby County on April 23.

Jose Vasquez and Cesar Gonzalez are still at large.


The DeSoto County Sheriff‘s Department is looking for four men who left the DeSoto County Detention Center.

All four, Cesar Martinez, Juan Monsivais, Jose Vasquez and Cesar Gonzalez, were jailed for drug trafficking, deputies said. All four had been in custody since 2021.

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department said there was a breach of their security and they are investigating exactly what happened while exhausting all possible investigative leads to locate the detainees.

“We have a legion of detectives and fugitive personnel working on this,” a department spokesperson said.

The sheriff’s department reported that the inmates escaped around 12 p.m. Friday. At 10 p.m., all four were still at large.
