New Delhi, April 14 (SocialNews.XYZ) A second-year undergraduate (German) student at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) suffered head injuries on Thursday after part of the bathroom ceiling in Sabarmati Hostel collapsed on top of him. The injured student was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, members of the All India Student Union (AISA) complained against the hostel manager for failing to take care of the property.


“The crumbling hostel infrastructure led to an unfortunate incident today. This is a clear case of criminal negligence on the part of the hostel keepers and the dean of students. We have many and repeatedly raised the issue of the hostel’s dilapidated infrastructure and falling ceilings with the concerned authorities, but the JNU administration tried to digress in the name of lack of funds. students at risk,” AISA said in a statement.

He also urged students to go to Sabarmati Hostel to ask the director for answers.
