A year ago today (May 6, 2021)…The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has asked for the public’s help in identifying the man who sexually assaulted a 79-year-old woman after breaking into her home. her at Hacienda Heights.

The man entered the woman’s house in the 1300 block of Kwis Avenue through a window between 2 and 5 a.m. Sunday and awoke her from her sleep before physically and sexually assaulting her, according to the Deputy Morgan Arteaga of the Sheriff’s Information Office.

The man fled and the woman informed a family member who dialed 9-1-1.

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for her injuries, Arteaga said.

The man was described as between 19 and 25 years old, about 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall and weighing between 140 and 160lbs.

He was also described as having short black hair and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with unknown white letters printed on the front, blue jeans, and a black cap.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Special Victims Office advised residents within a mile of the residence on Kwis Avenue to check home security cameras for footage of any suspicious activity that may have occurred at the time of aggression.
