YELLOW BLUFF, Alabama (WSFA) – Authorities are releasing more details of a domestic incident that has left two dead and a Wilcox County lawyer injured.
Wilcox County Emergency Management Agency director Melissa Dove said the incident began around 5 p.m. Wednesday when a woman called police fearing her future ex-husband would kill her.
Dove said MPs have answered the call for domestic violence on Shamburger Road in the community of Yellow Bluff, located between Pine Hill and Camden.
Dove said the county deputy and a retired deputy working as a process server were shot on arrival.
The woman was not injured in the incident, but Dove said Chief Deputy Trent Gulley was shot in the arm and the other deputy was shot several times in the chest and one in the chest. neck.
Wilcox County District Attorney Michael Jackson has confirmed the retired MP has died. Dove identified him as Madison “Skip” Nicholson.
